SOLAS requirements of 2010 may end the service of many fine cruise ships. We want to remind you that many historic ships will be removed from passenger service at the end of this decade, some are even no longer in service at U. S. ports. Although many are well-cared for, some are not; but the appeal for you may be the classic silhouette or remembrance of past sailings on a specific ship. DALMACIJA
The m/v Dalmacija is a comfortable and friendly ship with only 140 cabins (260 passengers). She sails along the Adriatic coast calling at enchanting ports and islands where larger ships cannot stop. Built in 1965 and refurbished in 2002 she has retained her original style and ambiance while at the same time meeting all modern nautical and maritime safety standards and requirements. Public rooms are intimate and extensively decorated in wood and brass. Ships' facilities include an elegant restaurant, festive Grand Salon lounge with live music, Lido bar, small swimming pool, Beauty Salon, Gift & Duty free shop, massage parlor, fitness center with sauna and a resident doctor on board. All public rooms are air conditioned and smoking is restricted to designated areas in the bar and lounge only. Please note that the ship has no elevator. Although not a deluxe ship, the Dalmacija will impress you with her 'old world' charm, an exuberant and friendly crew and unique ports of call all of which will remind you of the way cruising used to be - intimate, cozy and comfortable!
